Get to Berlín

If you are driving yourself, please use the Waze app.  Google Maps will take you the wrong way when coming from the beach. If you have to use Google Maps via the beach road, drive until you arrive at the Usulutan roundabouts, do not turn off the main road before hand. Seriously, it will be a bad time.

We suggest budgeting around 3 hours for the drive, factoring in the time of day, holidays, and potential traffic.
The road conditions are generally good, though typical El Salvador potholes can be expected. If you're unfamiliar with or uncomfortable driving at night, it's best to plan your travel during daylight hours.

If you're up for an experience, you can take a public bus.

The direct 303 bus from San Salvador departs from the Nuevo Amanecer station at 6 AM, 1 PM, and 2 PM.

For the more adventurous, hitchhiking is also an option—many travelers have done it. If you visit the Farmers Market in El Zonte on Sunday, you might easily find a ride.
If you would like someone to drive you, consider the following services.

- BitDriver, drivers & rentals
- Juan, private driver
- Uber, yes, some will do this trip
